Great night last night at the Clio Key Art Awards. Firstly, we got to see work showcased that is the absolute class of tv, theatrical and gaming promotion. Secondly, our evening’s host was the always funny Amy Sadaris.
Oh, Hello, Clio!

Don’t rear-end Angelyne. It’s just plain rude.

Last week’s PromaxBDA Conference was a great time, as always. We hobnobbed with many of our favorite people in the promo world and enjoyed some inspiring and informative panels. “The State of Our Art” presented by Maurice Marable & Kendrick Reid was a personal favorite, featuring truly heartfelt, transformative work. Though it’s never why you go, it was lovely to…
New York Festivals
19 Apr 16
Yesterday was a banner day for Bacon & Sons… with a little adventure on the side. Our launches for Join Or Die and (this past season’s) The Walking Dead got some wonderful recognition from the New York Festivals award show at NAB. As if that alone wasn’t a treat enough, we walked out of a tech scout…
JOIN OR DIE Before and After

We’re big fans of those before-and-after process pieces that accompany big budget franchise flicks, so here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at the Join or Die pre-viz…

Nothing drove Lauren Zalaznick and me (Dan) more crazy than this fucking logo. All throughout our tenure at VH1 — post rebrand from the awful Memphis-style logo — we’d encounter this monstrosity in tertiary cable markets and local listings. It just wouldn’t die. Bane of our existence. Be gone, you!

Rockefeller Plaza is really the best.
The Twittersphere Has Spoken

The great thing about being associated with a ratings juggernaut like AMC’s The Walking Dead is the instant public feedback available to us. We can’t say that all 17.3 million people who watched the Season 5 premiere saw our TWD Fan Spot, but for those who did, it appears as though they really liked it!

Reporting For Duty

We weren’t in New York to shoot anything Colbert-related, but we did have a chance to catch his show. It was a special night with The Black Keys as the in-studio guests. Check it clips out here at colbertnation.com Really great to catch this show before it satires its way in the sunset before he…

Always nice to see our work at 30,000′. And when you’re hitting a lot of headwinds, sometimes you get to see more of it!
Weaving Las Vegas

Right near the center of this pic is where you can find the location of Count’s Kustoms shop & showroom and where we drooled over Danny Koker’s incredible collection of hot rods and bikes. [cough…Counting Cars Season 3 Launch… cough]. But, what the pic is actually of is an insert of this amazing tapestry done by the artist…
Over The Moon

No, no… we didn’t win a moon man, but it’s amazing what you can come across when scouting locations. Occasionally it’s something as cool as an award won for this.

IFC + Michael Che + Las Vegas = Aces. We look forward to posting up these funny spots we all collaborated on for LasVegas.com once they hit the air. They just might include a rideable pickle… (And that’s a photo of Dan’s first hand of the night at The Venetian. Too bad it was all downhill…
BACON & SONS AT 30,000′
27 Sep 12
There’s just something really satisfying about seeing your work when you’re bleary-eyed in the middle of an interminably long flight. This particular job was shot a couple months ago on a whirlwind 4-cities-in-5-days shoot with our lovely Bravo clients in tow. The great thing about shooting a bunch of chefs? Sampling their wares. And what…
Walkabout, New York Edition
25 Sep 12
Every working trip in New York must include several brisk constitutionals. Meetings in the East Forties led to an extended stroll near the UN during their big General Assembly hoo-hah. It was quite a scene. Pop-up auto barricade, K-9 patrols and you’ve never seen so many men in suits with dark sunglasses and walkie earpieces…
Milkshake the pig
13 Mar 12
This is Milkshake the pig. Milkshake is a nine-month-old pot belly that lives at Greensgrow Farms, an urban agricultural development in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia, and Milkshake liked Dan very, very much. Perhaps he was cozying up to Dan in hopes that he could change Dan’s mind about bacon. Sorry Milkshake.
